Technical Advisor - CAML Program Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL Overview: PeopleTec is seeking a seasoned Technical Advisor to support the Common Autonomous Multi-domain Launcher (CAML) program within the U.S. Army's Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO). The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in autonomous weapon systems, missile integration, and technology transition within defense programs. This role provides senior-level technical and strategic advice to support the maturation and fielding of the CAML platform, leveraging experience from successful prototyping and integration efforts like the Autonomous Multi-domain Launcher (AML). Key Responsibilities:
Provide senior technical expertise to guide CAML architecture, integration strategy, and system evolution.
- Serve as technical liaison between RCCTO and other stakeholders as directed to ensure CAML design aligns with operational and doctrinal requirements.
- Advise on the integration of long-range precision fires, autonomy, and robotics into existing and future launcher platforms.
- Support the planning and execution of system integration events, live fire demonstrations, and field exercises (e.g., Project Convergence, Valiant Shield).
- Translate lessons learned from the AML program into actionable recommendations to accelerate CAML development and transition.
- Contribute to the development of programmatic strategies, risk assessments, and technology roadmaps.
- Provide leadership in systems engineering best practices, including requirements definition, verification, and validation.
- Review technical documentation, participate in milestone reviews, and brief senior Army leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree (MBA - MIS concentration) preferred.
- Deep understanding of autonomous systems, missile integration, and launcher design from concept through demonstration.
- Proven leadership of large, cross-functional engineering teams and complex technology demonstration programs.
- Prior experience leading the development and demonstration of the Autonomous Multi-domain Launcher (AML), including transition activities to CAML.
- Familiarity with DOD acquisition lifecycle and rapid prototyping initiatives.
- Experience supporting joint exercises and operational demonstrations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred:
- DAWIA Level 3 certifications in Systems Planning, Research, Development & Engineering (SPRDE) or equivalent.
- Experience with Fires and Air & Missile Defense integration.
- Background in both technical leadership and programmatic oversight (cost, schedule, performance).
- Recognition through Army commendation awards or technical achievement honors.
