Job Description:The John Muir Health Physicians Practices (JMHPP) Supervisor - Physician Practices is a member of the operations and management team and works in collaboration with regional operations, practice management, medical directors, physicians, practice staff, and the senior leadership team to ensure best practice operations within the ambulatory site they supervise. The Practice Supervisor is responsible for supervising a high performing metric-driven practice. The Practice Supervisor measures the success of practice performance by comparing financial, operational, and clinical performance metrics against benchmarks identified by the JMHPP leadership team. The Practice Supervisor is also responsible for implementing course correction activities to improve practice performance when necessary and under the direction of their direct leader. The Practice Supervisor supports standardized operations within the assigned practice site and ensures adherence to policies and procedures set forth by senior leadership. Also, the Practice Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all financial and business operations are executed to ensure practice efficiency, with direct oversite by their direct management. Additionally, the Practice Supervisor collaborates with their direct management and their sites Physician Dyad and foundation-based physicians to optimize practice operations, clinical quality measures, patient flow, access, revenue cycle (as applicable), and overall financial health and the ambulatory site. The Practice Supervisor is responsible for measuring and providing reports on performance results in patient, provider, and staff experience through upholding and promoting internal and external service standards in collaboration with their direct management.

This role reports to a Practice Manager, Regional Operations, or a Director of Operations of their assigned clinic. The Practice Supervisor works closely with their site's Physician Dyad to facilitate a strong relationship with the physicians and encourages open communication on operational, financial or procedure-based improvements. The Practice Supervisor serves as the single point of contact for all practice site course correction implementations, practice development and innovation partnerships, and metric-driven practice reporting.

Education:

  • College Degree Preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years Operational Management Preferred

  • 1 year Healthcare - Required

Certifications/Licensures:

  • Certification - When Applicable Required

Skills:

  • Knowledge of organizations policies, procedures, systems and objectives.

  • Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques.

  • Knowledge of healthcare administration systems.

  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications.

  • A high degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands and the ability to complete tasks under strict time lines is required.

  • Maintains professional and personal integrity.

  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in writing and orally.

  • Ability to deal diplomatically with all types of individuals under stressful situations.

  • Ability to oversee or guide other front office personnel as appropriate.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.

  • Ability to recognize and report deviations from acceptable health care practice.

  • Skill in developing comprehensive reports.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.

Work Location(s) - Position will be based 4 days in Walnut Creek and 1 days in San Ramon each week.

Work Shift:Exempt Days (Mon-Fri) (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$36.11 - $54.16 Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
