Position Title: Production Associate

Wage: $15.00/Hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday, Friday 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Production Associate Responsibilities:

- Sort and stack lumber or finished products on pallets or racks according to size or wood type

- Assemble customer bundles and prepare them for shipment by palletizing or banding

- Mark materials with identifying information as required

- Paint or mark crates and pallets using spray, brush, or markers

- Stack and bundle lumber from the resaw line

- Report any mechanical issues to the lead or supervisor promptly

- Count and verify bundles of lumber

- Assist in crate and pallet assembly

- Ensure smooth workflow on the production line

- Use a tape measure to check wood dimensions accurately

- Maintain a clean work area, including sweeping and basic housekeeping

- Rotate through cleaning duties such as breakrooms and bathrooms

- Conduct visual inspections of all finished products

Requirements for Production Associate:

- High school diploma or GED

- Ability to read and interpret work orders and verbal instructions

- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

- Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring equipment accurately

- Previous experience in wood manufacturing preferred (knowledge of wood sizes and grain types)

- Comfortable working in hot and humid conditions in summer and cooler conditions in winter

- Ability to work in dusty and loud environments with proper PPE

- Stand and walk on concrete for the entirety of the shift

- Lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day

- Perform frequent reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending at the waist

- Use hands and arms continuously for handling materials and tools
