QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Cake Builder and Icer at a company in Racine, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! Cake Builder and Icer Responsibilities: - Build and ice custom cakes as specified by cake order slip. - Place finished products carefully on racks for cooling/wrapping and ensuring proper storage - Use specific tools and various knives - Maintain clean work area - Follow proper bakery department, safety, and security procedures and standards - Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines as it refers to proper technique and quality - Clean and sanitize equipment Requirements for Cake Builder and Icer: - High School Diploma or GED preferred - Previous cake creation or finishing experience is a plus - Able to ice and construct sixteen 7" cakes per hour within six months, and twelve quarter sheet cakes per hour within six months - Good communication skills - Manual dexterity - Strong attention to detail - Able to distinguish between colors - Good mathematical skills necessary to create and follow recipes - Able to multi-task and adhere to deadlines while working independently - Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout shift racine@qpsemployment.com IND012 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
