Overview

Waters Corporation is seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Principal Scientist to play a pivotal role in the Xevo MRT program-our next-generation multi-reflecting time-of-flight mass spectrometry platform redefining the boundaries of analytical science.

This is a deeply lab-based role, rooted in direct interaction with our most advanced MS technologies. You'll design and execute experiments, interpret real-time data, and develop methods that shape the functionality and success of our cutting-edge instrumentation. You'll also serve as a trusted technical resource to our global early adopters, helping translate their insights into future innovations.

As part of a collaborative, international team of scientists, you'll bridge research and product impact-partnering closely with marketing and commercial groups to amplify field success and contribute to product strategy. Your work in the lab will fuel discoveries across pharma, biotech, environmental science, and beyond.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagements, technical collaborations, and global scientific initiatives


Qualifications

Education & Scientific Expertise

  • Holds a degree in a relevant scientific discipline; advanced qualifications (MSc, PhD) strongly preferred
  • Demonstrates deep domain expertise paired with a forward-looking understanding of key industry drivers, technological trends, and emerging applications
  • Brings multidisciplinary insight that connects scientific specialisms and fuels cross-functional innovation
