ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE SOCIAL WORK PROFESSOR (Tenure Track line) in the area of SOCIAL WORK CLINICAL PRACTICE

The Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York, NY, seeks an Assistant Associate Professor rank faculty member for the MSW/PhD and DSW program.

Established in 1957, the Wurzweiler School of Social Work (WSSW) offers a "methods-based" curriculum and concentrations in clinical casework practice, social group work, and community social work. WSSW enjoys an international reputation for academic excellence within the larger academic community of Yeshiva University.

EFFECTIVE DATE: Fall 2025



Position Responsibilities:




  • Teach advanced clinical practice courses in the MSW and DSW programs (on campus/live online & asynchronous)
  • Contribute to curricular development and revision
  • Advise and mentor students in the MSW and DSW programs
  • Serve on the social work program, college, and University committees
  • Engage in scholarly research and publication



Experience & Educational Background:




  • A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited social work program and a DSW or a Ph.D. in Social Work
  • Strong record of excellence in MSW teaching (classroom, live online, and asynchronous)
  • An ability to teach advanced clinical practice and other practice-based courses on the Master's and Doctorate levels
  • A record of scholarly publication
  • Must articulate a focused research agenda with continued plans for research, publishing, and external funding



Skills & Competencies:




  • University teaching experience, post-MSW clinical practice
  • A record of scholarly publications in the area of clinical social work practice
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with a thriving and diverse MSW/PhD student body
  • Values faculty governance and community partnerships

Salary Range:



$70,000 - $105,000
