Company: TEKsystems Title: Warehouse Associate Location: Oxford, CT Schedule: Mon - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm Duration: 6-month Contract-to-Hire Compliance: Drug & Background Pay Rate: Up to $28.00 per hour based on Warehouse experience Required Experience 2+ years of warehouse experience Forklift experience (certification is preferred but not required) Must have their own personal & reliable vehicle Must have valid Driver's License Must be willing to consent to Drug Test & Background Check Job Details: This person coming in would be the primary person in the warehouse, although they will be working closely with the office staff, project managers, and field staff. They will be responsible for shipping/receiving, storing equipment, assembling equipment, loading/unloading trucks, and occasionally driving a box truck to deliver equipment at customer sites. Duties/Responsibilities: * * * Maintains an accurate running inventory * Restocks supplies and inventory; places blanket and special orders as needed * Enters purchase order data in the inventory control system * Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy * Records, reports, cycle counts, and returns defective items * Processes invoices, supplying necessary data to accounting or other appropriate department for payment and recordkeeping * Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area * Handles complaints related to shipments; notifies supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues * Performs other related duties as assigned * Deliver local orders Required Skills/Abilities: * * * Proficient with inventory control systems * Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills * Excellent time management skills * Valid and clean driver's license * Comfortably drive box truck Physical Requirements: * Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying * Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time Education: * High school diploma or equivalent required Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
