The salary range for this role, based in Fort Smith, is $81,040.00 to $101,300.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing the activities of the Maintenance department, including primary aspects of management, production performance, budgetary/financial performance, customer service performance, personnel management, special projects, and short/long term planning and implementation in accordance with strategic operational plans. Responsible for tracking and reporting plant-mandated KPI's in relation to maintenance and operations performance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Personnel Management:

Provide direction and leadership to all subordinate salaried and hourly employees. Develop department culture fostering teamwork, fast pace, training, communication, accountability and high individual performance culture. Utilize training matrix to ensure all employees are trained on company policies, safety programs, regulatory standards and ISO work instructions as defined by company standards.

Production Performance:

Target business activities against strategic priorities to achieve maximum quality, cost and customer service. Encourage and explore feasibility of world class manufacturing techniques, oversee customization and upgrading of equipment in pursuit of continuous improvement.

Develop the Plant Reliability goals and strategy:

Balance resource requirements and utilization to guarantee facility and production equipment integrity, and regulatory complaince with external agencies, while providing apppropriate training requirements, flexibility to respond to varying production demands. Determine technical requirements regarding equipment purchases, quality capabilities, efficiency capability studies. Monitor production performance measures to ensure all departments are receiving adequate support to achieve high product quality, low cost and maximum asset utilization. Monitor effectiveness of preventive maintenance program and balance maintenance needs and budgetary limitations.

Budgetary Performance:

Develop functional strategies and plans to support PR and local business direction on a 1-5 year time frame. Work with it budgetary constraints and financial guidelines for department activities. Solicit and implement cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives from hourly and supervisory workforce. Research historical data and explore long term company objectives to determine operating strategy to accomplish target objectives in the most efficient and effective means possible given budgetary limitations. Oversee development of short and long range capital projects (approx. $2.5ml/yr) and M&R projects (approx. 1.5ml/yr) to ensure facility continues improved production performance, cost reduction and high quality production. Monthly review actual costs to identify critical cost drivers and implement control procedures. Enhance and encourage employee involvement in daily production processes by listening, educating and quantifying their ideas for improvement.

Special Projects:

Review all departments research, developments and implementations of action plans for special project studies. Support new product initiatives as developed. Ensure all required resources are addressed and obtained to ensure successful product launches. Drives process improvement with reference to the whole supply chain Coordinate various internal and external groups to ensure appropriate communication and departmental actions are centralized in accordance with equipment and regulatory compliance specifications. Ensure production employees are equipped with appropriate resources (training, quality standards and company guidelines) as required. Represent department in corporate initiatives, benchmarking activities, supply chain opportunities, etc.

Regulatory Monitoring: Ensure that Hiram Walker and external regulatory policies and programs are followed and supported. Promote the Pernod Ricard Safety Culture initiative and ensure that safety concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Responsible for ensure all employee follow PPE requirements and abide by all safety guidelines outlined in procedures and work instructions. Responsible for reporting\ all accidents, incidents, and near-misses immediately. These would include all non-disabling and disabling injuries and occupational illnesses, fatalities, fires, and explosions, property damage, chemical spills, and any incident having the potential for property damage or personal injury. Ensures that investigation and corrective action occurs in an efficient and timely manner. Achieve the corporate objective of no lost time accidents. No major departmental infractions of safety, environmental, HACCP / GMP, ISO (9000, 14000, 18000 and 22000) and external regulatory policies. Visual Factory areas of responsibility scores maintained above 90%. PRPS Improvement ideas generated from group.

Scope

Internal: Managing Director and Operations Controller - Creation of long-term facility and operational strategies and departmental budgets. Communication of daily departmental activities and facility occurrences. Department Directors, Managers, and Supervisors - Project (capital and M&R) and maintenance coordination. Communication of daily facility occurrences as needed. Finance Department - Departmental and project budget development and review.

External: Regulatory Agencies - Ensurance of regulatory compliance. Contractors - Project implementation. Equipment Suppliers - Equipment specification and purchasing

REQUIREMENTS

Education-BSBA or related field. 10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in lieu of degree.

Experience/Background-Engineering, Maintenance or Manufacturing leadership experience required. Must have experience leading teams. Technical Function Skills- Strong written/verbal communication skills. Strong project management skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Total production management including balancing quality and quantity. Strong analytical / problem solving skills. Strong financial skills, Long-range goal setting abilities. A minimum of ten years manufacturing experience in various leadership roles and responsibilities are required for this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Environment: Field Office-Work is performed in a typical field environment with moderate demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage. Frequent travel by land and/or air in diverse weather conditions is required.
