What to Expect
Reporting to the Solar Energy Manufacturing Engineering Team, the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, is responsible for concept, design, build and ramp of custom automated manufacturing equipment. The selected candidate assumes full ownership of the tool including design, commissioning, process development and technical transfer of the tools to the operation team. The Sr. Manufacturing Equipment Engineer works closely within a cross-functional organization and tool vendors to develop novel solar manufacturing equipment.
What You'll Do
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience with automation equipment design and custom machine-building
- 5+ years of industry experience in similar field
- Understanding of automation systems, mechanical engineering, robotics, PLCs, and data collection systems
- Experience with various manufacturing processes (assembly, fastening, dispensing, laser welding, electrical testing)
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD and PDM software
- Strong hands-on experience with high-volume and pilot manufacturing
- Working knowledge of data analysis, statistics, SPC
- Able to travel 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally

Expected Compensation
$96,000 - $168,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
