The Team

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Technical Consultant who will be responsible for providing in-depth post-sales technical delivery capability to customers. You will collaborate with other support functions to drive Hitachi Vantara product and services revenues while maximizing customer satisfaction.

The TC participates in the design configuration, implementation, and documentation of HV solutions for a wide range of customers. You will also work closely with the project manager to ensure project status is communicated, a plan is in place, and progress is being made to achieve project completion.

What You Will Be Doing



  • Perform the assigned tasks, whilst building a customer's confidence in HV, HV's technology, and HV's services team. These services are both technical and consultative. You will take responsibility for a smooth transition from implementation to Operations. As an experienced professional with a full understanding of practice specialization, you exercise independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Deliver handover information to integration and support staff. With a requirement to coach Associate Technical Consultants, you maintain a can-do attitude, earn a reputation of trust, integrity, and high performance.


Key activities include but are not limited to:



  • Provide day-to-day administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of the Storage, Compute, Data Protection environments
  • Perform incident troubleshooting and mitigation actions
  • Drive & run Change requests, tasks & service requests relating to commissioning/decommissioning changes and DC move and refresh activities under established guidelines
  • Follow the established policies, procedures and practices defined by Hitachi for managing the infrastructure
  • Work with the 3rd-party vendors to bring resolution to incidents
  • Create and modify support documentation for the supported environment following established guidelines
  • Provide weekly and monthly operations reports to the Service Delivery Manager for the customer and Hitachi
  • Identify and provide suggestions on continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned account(s)


What You Will Bring To The Team



  • 7+ years of working experience and good technical knowledge of storage, compute and networking.
  • Server Virtualization Technologies (VMware, HyperV, Open Stack, Docker) is highly desirable.
  • UNIX, Linux and Windows Systems administration and clustering experience is highly desirable.
  • Possess general understanding of ITIL framework and ITSM.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables.
  • Attention to detail - producing accurate and full work in accordance with requests.
  • Knowledge Sharing - helping to develop technical and process Knowledge across the team.
  • Strong Customer Orientation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.


As required by the equal pay and transparency acts in those states that require it, the expected base salary for this position is:

Base Salary Range - $110K - $125K

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
