Job Summary

The Loss Control Representative I position offers a fantastic entry point into the field of safety and risk management. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience from the ground up, working directly with insured clients to help identify and mitigate potential risks. As you grow in your career, there may be opportunities to manage your own territory-potentially in a different state-making this an ideal role for someone open to travel and long-term development.

The internal deadline to apply is 08/08/2025. External applications will be accepted on a rolling basis while the position remains open.



Work Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule after training. Candidates who are located within 50 miles of a West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events. The position can be based in Madison or West Bend.



Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Conduct virtual and/or telephonic surveys, investigate risk exposures/accidents, analyze risk experience and make recommendations to assist insureds in maintaining their loss control programs.
  • Review and process vendor surveys.
  • Development of Loss Control resources.
  • Consult with underwriters to determine account and risk acceptability.
  • Provide verbal and written correspondence to underwriting.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 2 years of experience in a Loss Control Representative position
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of personal computers
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Loss Control, Safety, Insurance or related field
  • Associate in General Insurance designation
