The successful applicant will be performing work on US Government classified environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position will perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil. The successful applicant must have a current US Government Secret Clearance.

Meet the Team

Cisco's Security and Trust Organization (S&TO), specifically the Government Solutions Organization (GSO). Our mission is to transform the way Cisco provides products, services, and support to global governments, starting with the US Federal Government and scaling worldwide. We are a collaborative, internal service-focused team that supports other Cisco teams by maintaining and architecting secure, compliant, cloud-hosted environments.

Your Impact

You will play a key part in securing cloud-hosted tools and ensuring compliance with Cisco's internal and federal standards. You'll work hands-on with a variety of platforms, helping to define, implement, and monitor systems for robust security. Your work will directly support the security posture of Cisco's U.S. Government environments, influencing how we protect critical infrastructure.

  • Build and configure delivery environments to support Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools using Agile methodology
  • Build and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, incidents, audits, designs/configurations, processes, and requirements
  • Evaluate, select, design, and configure security infrastructure systems in a global environment
  • Identify, integrate, monitor, and improve InfoSec controls by understanding business processes
  • Support the Security Architect to improve the organization's security posture, including systems, networks, user services, and vendor development efforts
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years working with cloud-based solutions
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS
  • Experience working on a development team, collaborative coding, and secure coding practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Cloud Development
  • 2+ years of experience in a common scripting language (Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker)
  • Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems
