Wieland is hiring a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor will lead hourly employees in the safe casting and manufacturing of brass rod and other products. This role is located in Montpelier, OH and will be fully on-site.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

Communicate expectations in safety, quality, and productivity performance with all hourly employees.
• Good decision-making skills. Understand the impact of all decisions on safety, quality, and culture.
• Demonstrates respect, honesty and integrity to others in daily activities.
• Helps employees improve through mentoring and coaching while holding them accountable to the safety and quality standards, work rules and JSWPs.
• Helps drive change within the organization by promoting teamwork, accountability and ownership on the shop floor.
• Accountable for meeting daily goals in production without compromising safety or quality while improving general housekeeping within their respected area.
• Responsible for attendance maintenance, creating and executing a training plan, and managing the overtime processes for their shift while following the company policies and contract language
• Work overtime as needed to cover other supervisor vacancies that may arise before or after shift as well as on the weekends.
  

Production Supervisor Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required, relevant college degree preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Manufacturing supervision experience or equivalent leadership experience.
• Industrial experience with safety, manufacturing, and quality process concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
