Provides audiology care and services to patients, performing hearing evaluations and interpreting diagnostic testing,

Job Description:

Essential Functions:
  • Provides evidence-based diagnostic evaluations to patients with varied medical complexity to determine type and degree of hearing sensitivity.
  • Recommends appropriate follow-up care, including personal equipment technology, and makes appropriate referrals to ensure a comprehensive care plan.
  • Educates parents and caregivers on the impact of hearing loss and importance of compliance with recommendations.
  • Performs the administrative functions of individual caseload, including scheduling, entering daily charges, and submitting timely documentation. Ensures accuracy and compliance of documentation.
  • Attends continuing education programs and participates in departmental in-service training programs to enhance professional development.
  • Conducts audiology educational programs and supervision for hospital staff, students, licensed audiologists, audiology aides, and unlicensed personnel.

Education Requirement:

Doctorate of Audiology, or equivalent education and experience, required.


Licensure Requirement:

Valid Ohio License in Audiology, required.


Certifications:
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association or American Board of Audiology certification from the American Academy of Audiology, preferred.
  • CPR certification, required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration.

Previous pediatric audiology experience, preferred.
