Requirements

Position Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated Avionics Design Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of avionics systems for [aircraft. and defense systems]. This position requires strong knowledge of electronic hardware, embedded systems, and aerospace design standards.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design and develop avionics systems including displays, flight management systems, navigation, communication, and power distribution systems.
  • Create detailed electronic schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Select appropriate components and materials to meet environmental, regulatory, and performance requirements.
  • Develop and execute system integration and verification test plans.
  • Manufacturing legacy avionics CCAs for Military Aircraft
  • Hardware design digital (including FPGA, CPLD, Microcontroller/Microprocessor), embedded systems (hardware/firmware), analog including LVPS Interface with software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure end-to-end system compatibility.
  • Support EMI/EMC compliance, DO-160/DO-254 certification, and MIL-STD qualification processes.
  • Prepare engineering documentation including design reports, test procedures, and certification artifacts.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to system architecture decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in laboratory, ground, and flight test environments.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • High level Software programming (C++, C#)
  • 3+ years of experience in avionics or aerospace electronics design.
  • Proficient in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD).
  • Strong understanding of digital/analog circuit design, embedded systems, and communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet).
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and standards (DO-178/254, DO-160, FAA, EASA) with TSO and STC experience.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PE license, FAA DER).
  • High level ATE testing system hardware/software design PXI/LXI
  • 3D SolidWorks design
  • Experience with FPGA development and HDL (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Knowledge of flight software integration and RTOS environments.
  • Previous experience with aircraft certification or defense contracts.
  • Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
