GENERAL SUMMARY:

Henry Ford is recruiting for a Director of Provider Documentation & Coding Education. Reporting to the VP Revenue Cycle - Mid Cycle, this leader is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive provider education and engagement strategy that enhances clinical documentation quality, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives financial performance across Henry Ford Health. This role serves as a strategic partner to clinical, operational, and revenue cycle leaders, leveraging technology and data to optimize provider documentation and coding practices. The Director oversees a team of educators, content developers, and auditors delivering high quality, data-driven education on revenue cycle topics to providers and clinical teams across the Henry Ford Health Care Delivery System. This position is a key leader who fosters cross-functional collaboration and champions innovation through the integration of automation and EMR capabilities to improve the physician experience and reduce administrative burden.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, healthcare or other related field. Master's degree in business or other health administration related field preferred.

* Minimum of five (5) years leadership experience working in Clinical Operations, Finance, or Revenue Cycle in a large, complex, integrated healthcare organization.

* Comprehensive understanding of key concepts related to documentation and coding accuracy and compliance.

* Demonstrated fluency in revenue cycle management best practices. Strong detail orientation and project management skills.

* Excellent communicator - able to express complex ideas clearly and effectively to a varied audience.

* Ability to manage, coordinate, and lead simultaneously.

* Ability to estimate timelines and meet established deadlines.

* Able to develop buy-in and drive change across a wide variety of team members, departments, and stakeholders, including physician and senior-level leadership.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

* RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, or CCS-P preferred.
