Description

Join Mascoma Bank's Human Resources Team as a Total Rewards Specialist and help us continue to maintain our employee satisfaction! At Mascoma Bank, we aim to provide excellent benefits and competitive compensation practices to help meet the needs of our employees.

As the Total Rewards Specialist you will be responsible for administering, implementing, and working with the AVP, Total Rewards to manage the compensation and benefits programs that align with the organization's strategic objectives. In this role, you will ensure competitive pay practices, regulatory compliance, and employee satisfaction by conducting regular market analyses and administering benefit plans.

Requirements
  • Administer compensation programs including base pay, incentive plans, and bonuses.
  • Conduct job evaluations and market pricing to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Administer employee benefits programs such as health insurance, wellness initiatives, and leave policies.
  • Work with AVP, Total Rewards to liaise with benefits vendors and brokers to manage plan offerings and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, ACA).
  • Provide guidance to PR Business Partners on compensation and benefits best practices.
  • Support annual performance review and merit increase processes.
  • Assist with the communication and education of compensation and benefit plans to employees.
  • Assist with the annual open enrollment event for all employees.
  • Participate in compensation and benefits surveys and benchmarking activities.
  • Provide the highest level of service to employees and proactively develop and engage in employee programming.
  • Adheres to and upholds all written policies and procedures of the Bank, including BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting, security, operation, and personnel policies.

Work Location: This position can be performed remotely within our VT/NH service areas.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and compensation required.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation structures, benefits plans, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Must be able to manage multiple projects and be task oriented.
  • Attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.
