City/State: Bronx, New York Grant Funded: No Department: MED-Belfer Operations Work Shift: Day Work Days: MON-FRI Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURS Pay Range: $49,920.00-$62,400.00 The primary role of the Program Associatefor the Department of Medicineis to assist and support the Associate Chair in managing all aspects of the Department of Medicine's Community Engagement and Faculty Mentoring Program. This involves coordinating meetings, planning events, working with vendors for programming, and overseeing the Department of Medicine Visiting Medical Student Elective. The manager's responsibilities are diverse and require flexibility, insight, maturity, patience, and an understanding of the needs of underrepresented populations. Responsibilities include but not limited to Oversee the logistics and work with the medical school registrar for the visiting medical student elective. Supports the faculty groups RISE and the Community Engagement Faculty Group Works closely with leadership to ensure the scope and direction of each project aligns with strategic goals. Perform general clerical duties for Vice Chair including reports, forms and meetings. Maintain log of medical students check request and reimbursements. Submit check request and reimbursement in the system on a time basis and follow up on status of payments. - This position may require mandatory overtime and travelling to other locations based on operational needs. Requirements Bachelor's Degree required One year of experience in a similar role required Experience with time management, organizational skills, project management, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication. Organizational skills to multitask and adhere to deadlines for overlapping projects. Familiarity with presentation software, database tools, and web design software are desirable.
