Precise Systems seeks an Analytical Scientist with at least 2 years of experience in small molecule purification and analysis.


Duties:



  • Perform chemical analysis including GC-MS/FID, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, UV-Vis etc. to quantity and qualify product identity, yield and purity
  • Responsible for routine maintenance of analytical equipment
  • Execute chemical separations to purify and quantify small molecule products
  • Keep detailed records of laboratory operations and compile data in regular technical reports
  • Deliver various skillsets related to analytical chemistry (GC/MS, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, etc.) and requires dedicated problem-solving/keen attention to detail
  • Design and execute analytical methods
  • Perform both independently and in collaboration with other team members
  • Collaborate with diverse team including biologists, chemists, chemical engineers, material scientists, etc.


Required Education:



  • B.S. in chemistry, biology, or related field.


Required Experience:



  • At least 2 years of experience in small molecule purification and analysis
  • Strong experience in analytical chemistry (GC-MS/FID, HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, UV-Vis etc.)
  • Support technology transfer of data acquisition and analysis methods
  • Document in laboratory notebooks, authorship of technical reports and standard operating procedures
  • Interact as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for audiences with varying technical backgrounds
  • Effective time management skills; self-starter; attention to detail
  • Ability to independently design and execute experiments; critical thinking/problem solving


Desired Experience:



  • Small molecule separations experience
  • Peptide handling and analysis experience
  • Analytical chemistry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply topics outside their area of expertise


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $56,028.11 - $79,324.12 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
