Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Underwriting Services Representative to support a team of 13 underwriters in a paper-based, traditional office environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a quiet, independent setting and is comfortable working with physical documents and legacy systems. Key Responsibilities: * Assemble and prepare insurance policies and billing documents * Calculate rates and premium amounts based on underwriting instructions * Issue new and renewal policies using rating manuals and internal systems * Process endorsements and apply pricing modifications * Maintain accurate premium coding and accounting records * Verify peer work for accuracy and quality * Collaborate with underwriters, marketing, claims, and other departments * Communicate with brokers and business partners for information gathering * Monitor policy issuance and endorsements with company partners * Perform experience rating and assist in collecting rating information * Support underwriting services and complete additional tasks as assigned Qualifications: * 2+ years of administrative or data entry experience * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (must score 70% or higher on assessment) * Strong attention to detail and mathematical ability * Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills * Comfortable working with paper files and non-digital systems * Ability to work independently in a quiet, structured environment Work Environment & Culture: * Corporate office with high/low cubicles and open-door management * Team of ~10 underwriting professionals * Business casual attire * Access to insurance policy library, conference rooms, and training spaces * Supportive leadership with direct access to management Why Apply? * Opportunity to transition to a permanent role * Excellent benefits upon conversion * Be part of a stable and reputable organization * Gain valuable experience in the insurance industry Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
