Job Overview

This position would oversee all art-related exhibitions, projects, and functions throughout Children's Hospital Colorado. It would involve networking with medical and administrative leadership, and community art organizations, to develop relationships focused on healthy creative experiences for the CHCO community. Position includes the coordination of exhibition curation to benefit the health and wellbeing of patients, families, and staff of CHCO. Collaboration and leadership of CHCO Arts Council would involve the continued documentation of CHCO visual art collection data base. Position reports to Ponzio Creative Arts Therapy Program Manager to ensure consistent therapeutic focus for all development projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

No Direct Patient Care
Essential Functions

Attend monthly Arts Council meetings.
Collaborate with staff to manage and exhibit historical archives.
Create and collaborate with current performance opportunities for staff, patients, and families (dance, music, theater).
Maintain positive PR.
Network and develop collaborative relationships with local arts organizations/ galleries.
Plan, execute, coordinate art exhibitions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degrees
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Master's Preferred
  • Area of Study
    • BA- Arts related field, preferred Field of Study - Fine Arts.
    • MA-Art, Art History, Arts Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field - Preferred
  • Experience
    • Organizational management, event planning, creative work with children in structured environment (school/medical setting, etc).
    • working with children and families in a public institution such as museum, school, library, or community organization (Preferred)
    • Desire to work collaboratively and ability to think strategically

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $50,968.16 to $76,452.24
