About the role

The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the clean up and transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. Field Service Technician I is responsible for the clean up and transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. Field Service Technician I id expected to perform various tasks including but not limited to loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, complete inspection of equipment, hoses and connections as well as perform confined space entry.

Additionally, the Field Technician I will operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements, and all local, state and federal laws.

Field Technican I is required to have a Valid State Drivers License

All employees must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check as well as a Motor Vehicle Report, previous employment and criminal history records review.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling, packaging and transportation of both Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials
  • Use of hydro blast equipment, forklift, skid loader and specialty vacuum equipment and/or other equipment as needed
  • Completion of critical path documentation; manifests, driver logs, job summary, permits, etc.
  • Communicate with Project Manager and on-site customers
  • Daily work in confined space entry, mechanics, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools hand tools and/or other tools as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 40 HR HAZWOP
  • Must be able to pass a respirator fit test

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Walking on elevated platforms or scaffolding
  • Kneeling, crawling. stooping, bending, or twisting for extended periods of time
  • Walking and/or standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Confined space entry
