SummaryCompiles data and prepares invoices and bills by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet customers upon arrival and assist as needed.
  • Answer the telephone, gather information, and relay prospects to Location Managerand/or sales specialists.
  • Assist Location Manager in the billing of all products sold at the location and with Inventory of Liquid and Dry fertilizers, Chemicals, fuels, and all other products at the location on a daily and Monthly basis.
  • Reads computer files or gathers records such as purchase orders, sales tickets, and charge slips, transfers to other locations and to compiles all needed data.
  • Organize store displays and promotions. Display seasonal items to catch customer interest. Keep shelves stocked and expirable items in date.
  • Oversee and assist in keeping the store clean daily. Delegate and assist as needed with the following weekly chores: Sweep and mop the floor, clean bathroom and dust the products and shelves and empty trash cans daily.
  • Bill all company use items including but not limited to: fuel, grease, oil and filters. Read and bill company use fuel tanks monthly unless otherwise instructed.
  • Enter information into computer or compute amounts due.
  • Prepares invoices, listing items sold, amounts due, credit terms, and dates of shipment.
  • Prepares bills of lading and lists weight and serial number of items sold. Prepares shipping labels when needed.
  • Prepares credit memorandums to indicate returned or incorrectly billed merchandise. Prepares credit forms for customers or finance companies.
  • Posts transactions to accounting records such as work sheet, ledger, or computer files.
  • Administering credit.

A. Follow company credit policy and conditions.

B. Have credit approved on all new patrons.

C. Make eligible patrons aware of Agri-finance service.

D. Assist in collection of all accounts as assigned.

  • Keep in mind when a customer leaves the location, they need to believe that their best interest is our main goal and that we do whatever it takes, within reason, to fulfill their needs and secure their business for the future.
  • Promote sales in all areas and assist all salesmen to help promote sales of company products and/or services offered by the company.

Other Duties

  • Report to work at prescribed times.
  • Come to work neat and clean and in company uniforms as much as possible to project a good company image.
  • Be safety conscious at all times and report any unsafe operations or equipment to the Supervisor.
  • Cooperate with Supervisor, co-workers, patrons, and peers.
  • Be friendly and show concern for patron needs.
  • Strive to keep company equipment in a high state of repair and cleanliness.
  • Have a working knowledge of all products and services offered by the company.
  • Operate company vehicles with due care to maintain the longest service life possible.
  • Prevent undo waste of inventory products, repair parts, tools, and time to better net profits of company.
  • Attend all assigned meetings and arrive at prescribed times.
  • Notify Supervisor of all time off (i.e. personal days, sick days, vacation, etc.) at earliest possible time.
  • Use company vehicles for job related duties only.
  • Keep agreements between you and the company to yourself. Do not instigate rumors.
  • Keep personal calls to a minimum.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Supervisor and Job duties will dictate the appropriate class or endorsements needed but the minimum requirement will be a valid Class D License.
