Mutual of Omaha is looking for a Compliance Consultant! In this role, you'll play a critical part in helping the company stay compliant by translating complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance. You'll support producer licensing, appointments, and certifications-navigating varying state requirements. You'll partner across departments like underwriting, sales, and compensation, while also helping manage contracts, background checks, and vendor relationships that support our compliance functions. You'll oversee control environments and apply your strong research and risk analysis skills to proactively assess compliance impacts and drive responsible decision-making.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Interpret and apply complex laws and regulations, conducting risk and impact assessments to guide business decisions and ensure compliance with varying state requirements., conducting risk and impact assessments to guide business decisions
- Lead and coordinate compliance initiatives across the business to ensure timely and effective implementation of regulatory and internal compliance projects.
- Ensures compliance with FCRA regulations and reviews producer background information.
- Oversee vendor partnerships by monitoring performance, handling payment and reconciliation processes, and ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain and monitor the compliance control environment, conducting audits and ensuring consistent documentation and adherence to procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Proven experience researching and interpreting complex regulations to develop clear policies and compliance strategies that guide business decisions.
- Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, with the ability to adapt quickly and stay focused amid shifting priorities.
- Self-starter with experience managing multiple complex projects independently, while anticipating challenges and proactively driving solutions.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and guide leadership, presenting information clearly and responding confidently to internal and external questions.
- Highly organized and relationship-oriented, with a track record of maintaining structured records, creating long-term plans, and building strategic networks across teams.
- You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
