Safety and Training Supervisor
Baytown, TX

Schedule: Monday - Friday and must be available for call outs to respond to incidents, if needed (day or night)
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Writing and updating locomotive safety procedures and documentation
- Train employees on how to maintain locomotives to FRA standards
- Conducting field safety observations and recommending improvement
- Mentoring employees and promoting a culture of shared safety ownership
- Leading safety meetings, presentations, and recognition programs
- Collaborating with customer HSE representatives and PSC leadership
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including employee physicals
- Preparing lessons learned materials and safety communications
- Performing other duties as assigned to support site safety and training initiatives
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years experience in a role involving safety, training, HSE and/or operations
- Proven trouble shooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge of EMD locomotives is required
- Experience developing safety and / or operational procedures and policies with strong technical writing skills
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
- Experience in formal incident investigation and lessons learned process
- Strong communication skills and the ability to be innovative, self-motivated and promote a team-oriented environment
- Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
