Schedule:5 8-hour Shifts: Days, Evenings, and weekend shift available.

Focus: The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, shipping, and receiving of palletized materials-including hazardous goods-within a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Forklift Operator Essential Job Functions:

  • Safely load, unload, stack, and move materials using electric sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and pallet jacks.

  • Support order picking, labeling, wrapping, and packing tasks as needed to prepare products for shipment.

  • Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment, reporting unsafe or malfunctioning units.

  • Maintain accuracy in inventory movement and ensure product rotation and placement per company procedures.

  • Follow Winchester's safety and hazardous materials handling procedures, contributing to a clean and organized work environment.

Forklift Operator Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience operating electric sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

  • Basic proficiency in math, reading, computer use, and RF scanner technology.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in environments requiring frequent standing, bending, and maneuvering in tight spaces.

  • Previous logistics/warehouse experience at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant preferred.

  • Must possess a valid US driver's license.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.

  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.
