Our client, a forward-moving construction firm in Anaheim, is seeking a seasoned Labor & Compliance Specialist to champion their commitment to regulatory excellence. If you're equipped with deep industry knowledge, thrive on following the intricacies of labor regulations, you're in the right place. What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee labor compliance for public works and prevailing wage projects, ensuring full adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports, Davis-Bacon wage determinations, and related documentation.
- Conduct thorough on-site audits, labor classification reviews, and employee verification checks.
- Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures across all construction projects.
- Train field and office staff on labor regulations, reporting standards, and documentation best practices.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies (e.g., DOL, DIR) during audits or requests.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to maintain accurate employee data and records.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in construction labor compliance, certified payroll, or related roles in the industry.
- Deep knowledge of One-Time forms (DAS 140, DAS 142), Prevailing Wage, DIR requirements and Certified Payroll
- Bilingual in Spanish/English required
- Proven history of managing successful audits or investigations.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse teams and maintain trust under pressure.
