Job Description

MACHINE OPERATOR



  • The Machine Operator is responsible to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Performs typical machine shop and press operations.
  • Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Works primarily in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, and fumes with moderate noise. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility.
  • Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, and reaching
  • PPE required may include safety glasses and gloves in designated areas of the facility.
