POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking an EH&S (Environmental, Health and Safety) Coordinator in its Indianapolis, IN manufacturing facility. The EH&S Coordinator will play a pivotal role in strengthening our safety culture across the plant. This position is designed to expand our EH&S capabilities, foster deeper engagement with employees, and implement impactful safety improvements. They will focus on eliminating the risk of noncompliance thereby reducing the costs associated with injury claims.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 to $88,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

WHAT YOU WILL DO



  • Provide administrative support for all areas within the EH&S department and serve as a liaison for internal communication on EHS-related matters
  • Provide general safety training including EHS new hire orientation
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry for various EHS reports and compliance systems and update, maintain, and track internal key EHS metrics


  • Maintain EH&S documentation including reviewing and updating EHS procedures, training materials, and segment EH&S communication and document minutes, action items and provide follow-up to and manage EH&S meetings
  • Maintain the site's Safety Data Sheet (SDS) system to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Support the management of worker's compensation cases, working toward effective resolution and closure



WHAT WE REQUIRE



  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety management, environmental management, or closely related field or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience with EHS or closely related programs
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
