Position Summary: Rebuild entire Siemens software license pool. Monitor use and access. * Carefully implement a centralized and cost-effective cloud-based data management system for all engineering data for existing and new sites. * Formalize a consistent Training program for existing users, new employees and interns. * Advise and strategize on managing data and software licenses on new acquisitions. Location: * Remote * This is a remote role but will be required travel about 25% of the time for training or other support. Core Responsibilities: Siemens Software License Management * Rebuild and streamline the Siemens software license pool * Monitor usage and access * Negotiate ADFM (Aerospace Defense Federal & Marine) discount schedules * Deploy cloud license servers for global/domestic use * Update all Siemens license files, including trials and shared licenses * Ensure purchased licenses are available and utilized * Implement license statistics and reporting * Institute a "loaner program" for new software licenses * Assist IT with installations and updates Centralized Cloud-Based Data Management * Architect and deploy a cost-effective, centralized data management system * Develop a unified data management plan for all sites * Apply Kaizen principles to eliminate redundant files and broken links * Establish a "single point of truth" for engineering documents * Formalize a CNC post processor and machine simulation library * Share network resources for user configurations (Solid Edge, NX, etc.) * Unify software installations and settings across the enterprise * Drive an NC Programming Request System Training Program Development * Formalize and deliver consistent training for all users * Standardize modeling and data practices for Solid Edge and NX * Lead internal post-editing training programs * Enhance intern support and mentoring for SE & NX * Provide quick start guides and one-on-one mentoring Acquisition Integration & Strategy * Advise on data and software license management during acquisitions * Address legal ramifications of license transfers * Evaluate and integrate site-specific software and data * Develop migration and integration strategies Education / Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Computer Science, etc. (Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) * 6 years of experience in managing and training Siemens software * Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience * Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: * 10 years of experience in managing and training in Siemens software * Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding readiness planning and process improvement. * Experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring you to pivot and adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Physical Requirements: * Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. * Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. * Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. * Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time. |
