DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will play a key role in gathering field data to support the creation and upkeep of reports, tables, and forms. You will be responsible for procuring necessary maintenance and operational supplies for the organization, managing purchase orders through SAP and SRM systems. Your duties will include utilizing a corporate purchasing card for acquisitions, conducting research for materials needed for scheduled projects, and overseeing the preparation and monitoring of material bids via e-procurement in alignment with summer maintenance activities and the annual work plan. Additionally, you will initiate purchase orders, develop product or service specifications, maintain a list of qualified vendors, issue requests for quotes (RFQs), evaluate bids, and recommend contract awards. You will also coordinate winter municipal agreements, assist in collecting and analyzing information from municipalities, and ensure proper documentation for payments during the winter season, including adjustments for severe weather. Furthermore, you will prepare snow maps detailing truck/operator information and snow route assignments, and serve as the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) coordinator for Cumberland County. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
