Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Four (4) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of water and/or wastewater or equivalent industrial operation equipment and structures.
Licenses or Certifications
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license equivalent to a Florida CDL B and obtain a valid Florida CDL B driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspects mechanical equipment, machinery, components and related water production, water reclamation, and/or stormwater control systems in assigned area(s).
  • Diagnoses, maintains and repairs machinery and process equipment for all water production, water reclamation or related systems in assigned area(s), to include pipes, valves, pumps, pressure rings, membranes, etc.
  • Installs and rebuilds various types of production and reclamation pumps, motors, blowers, piping, valves, and related structures.
  • Operates various hand-held manual, gas and electrically powered tools, i.e., air wenches, air hammers and chisels.
  • May design and fabricate brackets,flanges, piping or other structural metal products; and maintains all cutting and fabrication equipment to manufacturer specifications.
