Description
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Computer Hardware/Software Technician to work on our Computer Systems Engineering team. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Specific Manufacturing Capabilities (SMC) desert site facility with every Friday off. You will provide technician support to diagnose and resolve equipment problems for computers and peripherals at the desktop & enterprise levels. Connect, install, test, upgrade, and maintain, including preventive maintenance on enterprise peripherals, hardware, software, network hardware, and software components. Support the telecommunications systems by assembling, evaluating, and testing proposed networking components, and upgrading the backbone networks to new releases of firmware. You will report to the manager for our Computer Systems Engineering team. Responsibilities Include:

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, use hands to handle materials, manipulate tools, keyboard and type, operate a motor vehicle, reach with hands and arms, and operate job-related equipment.
