• Starting Pay: $29.71/hour (91% of scale)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed
• Hours: Approximately 45 hours per week

• Safely operate a rear-load garbage truck along designated routes
• Collect refuse and recyclables according to route sheets
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
• Operate hydraulic controls to lift and dispose of waste
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling items over 100 lbs

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Exposure to mechanical parts, moderate noise, and occasional fumes
• Frequent heavy lifting and adherence to strict safety protocols

• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (Class A not required)
• Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in waste management, trucking, or heavy equipment operation, and must not have held more than three jobs in the past five years.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic knowledge of truck components for pre- and post-trip inspections
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening, including testing for controlled substances
• This is a safety-sensitive position under Washington State law; pre-employment THC testing is permitted
