We are seeking a motivated and driven Data Analyst to join the Vulnerability Management program in Information Security / Cybersecurity. In this role you would perform data analysis using appropriate statistical methods and graphical display standards as well as retrieving and analyzing data and presenting reports to management for use in supporting operations and business objectives for the Information Security Team. You would also be providing recommendations for improvement and written documentation that relates to the analysis of the data. - Provide database and analytical support for the Vulnerability Management Program, as well as other ad hoc Information Security needs as assigned.
- Design, implement, and deliver reports, month over month reports, risk tracking measurements, and analyses to support security focused data-driven analysis.
- Perform data analyses using appropriate statistical methods and graphical display standards.
- Retrieve and analyze data and present reports to management for use in supporting Vulnerability Management and other objectives.
- Analyze, summarize and present information and data for discussion and decision making.
- Provide recommendations for improvement and written documentation that relates to the analysis of the data. Research data anomalies and issues.
- Work with data source systems and target systems to identify data issues and data gaps.
- Track status and develop/update data source systems and target systems. Identify and recommend solutions as needed.
What You Will Need to Succeed...
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst using data aggregation tools, preferably PowerBI or Tableau.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Table, V-lookups, aggregation of spreadsheets
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work with requestors to understand their true needs and to communicate complex analysis results to all levels of the organization. Ability to work in a team environment across multiple functions and divisions
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Cybersecurity or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Solid understanding of good graphical display standards and various graphical techniques
- Ability to quickly learn and leverage various software tools and systems
- Ability to frame a complex question appropriately, develop an analytical strategy, assemble the relevant data and results to clearly communicate a coherent set of conclusions.
- Results-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines with limited supervision, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
It would be a plus if you had this experience:
- Knowledge of DefectDojo or other Vulnerability Data Aggregation tools
- Knowledge or experience with SQL and/or Python
- Education or experience within Cybersecurity or Information Security
Location: driving distance to our Westbrook, Maine HQ where you would be required to be on-site a minimum of 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work hybrid. What you can expect from us:
- Base annual salary target: $80000 - $90000 (yes, we do have flexibility if needed)
