At Henry Ford Urology - Jackson, we provide medical or surgical management for patients with a range of urological conditions, including kidney, bladder and prostate cancer; kidney stones; incontinence; urinary tract infection, bladder prolapse, interstitial cystitis, sexual dysfunction and bedwetting. GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients. These duties may include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and escorting patients to the exam room.
• Obtaining medical histories.
• The measurement and recording of vital signs.
• Preparing patients for an examination/procedure.
• Assisting the provider during the examination/procedure.

SHIFT DETAILS: Monday to Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

LOCATION: 150 S. East Ave Jackson, MI 49203

STATUS: Full Time, 40 hours per week

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.
• Urology experience a plus but not necessary, must be able to work in fast paced environment.
