Special Operations Acquisition Lead

The Opportunity:

As an acquisition management professional, you know that both sides of the acquisition and contracts lifecycle are pivotal to your clients' missions. We're looking for someone like you to lead a team of experienced professionals and be a liaison to the government. As a Special Operations Acquisition Lead at Booz Allen, you'll work closely with our customers in support of the warfighter, aiding in the acquisition of all they need for optimal end strength and ensuring that their mission is our mission. This is an opportunity to impact our country's defense acquisition and contracts process.

On our team, you'll analyze, assess, and advise on defense acquisition program documentation, including acquisition strategy, category management, acquisition program baseline, and acquisition decision memorandums. You will apply advanced and extensive technical expertise using full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. You will work without considerable direction and mentor team members.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with the Defense Acquisition System, Service-specific acquisition systems and processes, and Joint acquisitions systems and processes

  • 5+ years of experience with technical proposal analysis and managing a broad client base

  • 2+ years of experience with intelligence or special operations support elements

  • Knowledge of program management, including DoD scheduling and risk management practices

  • Ability to logically adjudicate competing interests and inputs and provide concise rationale and recommendations

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Acquisition and Contract Management or Business Administration and 1+ years of experience in Engineering and Technical Support, Cybersecurity and Risk Management, Test and Evaluation Support, Training and Technical Documentation, Logistics and Facility Management, Satellite Communications Operations Support, or Configuration Change Management Support, or 7+ years of experience in Engineering and Technical Support, Cybersecurity and Risk Management, Test and Evaluation Support, Training and Technical Documentation, Logistics and Facility Management, Satellite Communications Operations Support, or Configuration Change Management Support in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience drafting defense acquisition documents such as Milestone Decision Review briefs, Acquisition Decision Memorandum (ADMs), Acquisition Strategies, and Acquisition Program Baselines (APBs)

  • Knowledge of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF), ACAT, BCAT, SCAT thresholds, alternative acquisition processes, and defense acquisition policies, including DoD Issuance (DoDI) 5000 series

  • Master's degree

  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Certificationand Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Program Management Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
