Overview
Develops and maintains product-specific insights that inform local/national media plans to support inquiry and enrollment goals. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Specialist will work to develop an expert understanding of his/her assigned programs, becoming a key point person within the Product Marketing group, and providing insights and knowledge to various groups across the Marketing department. In demonstrating their expertise, this role will engage with the campus marketing, marketing automation, and marketing operations teams to ensure KPIs are achieved for each assigned program The technical training programs supported by this role are subject to change and may include programs such as: Auto, Diesel, Marine, Motorcycle, Welding, Collision, CNC, and other new programs. This role will ideally specialize in several select programs. Responsibilities
Develops knowledge and understanding within Marketing department to inform both local and national media plans in support of inquiry, enrollment, and start goals.
- Creates and maintains competitive analyses to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their assigned UTI/MMI programs as compared to other STEM educators, community colleges, public universities and on-the-job training
- Intersects with UTI departments outside of Marketing to foster a further understanding of UTI's curriculum, external partnership synergies, and evolving organizational goals, for each assigned program
- Monitors program results and proactively develops and shares strategies to optimize advertising spend while achieving program KPIs
- Engages in quarterly planning workshops and assists with creative development and tactical strategies that leverage the competitive advantages and value propositions that resonate with UTI's prospective students.
- Capitalize on competitive advantages and key value propositions to support messaging, event execution, content development, inquiry generation, and enrollment.
- Supports and delivers enhancements to further develop the content and outcomes of events pertaining to their assigned programs
- Responsible for managing updates relevant to their programs across internal and customer-facing collateral and sales tools
- Supports the planning and execution of new program launches
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Marketing, Communications or Journalism), or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability required
- Minimum three-five years of experience in marketing, marketing project management, and/or product marketing/management required
- Experience in a lead generation/direct response environment required
- Experienced navigating data-driven platforms to analyze and interpret trends that result in proactive and strategic recommendations required
- Demonstrated history of managing complex multi-channel projects to successful completion required
- Experience with lead generation and marketing within the Education industry is a plus
- Experience in Auto, Diesel, Marine, Motorcycle, Welding, and/or other industry experience is a plus.

- Collaborative and team-oriented with exceptional organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office systems
Abilities
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
- Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
- Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
- Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
- Occasional travel may be required
Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a climate controlled environment
- Regular business hours; some overtime is required
