What is the opportunity?

As a Manager of Copywriting, you'll help inspire and elevate a team of writers to bring our brand to life across every touchpoint. You will blend high-level vision with hands-on execution-defining the tone, messaging, and storytelling that resonates with our audiences while ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across digital, product, and marketing experiences

As part of our fast-paced, growing marketing organization our ideal candidate will be energetic, a self-starter, and possess a detailed focus that will support the marketing organization. This person will create and design standards and procedures for team, act as an advisor to their copywriting team regarding projects, tasks and operations and partner with many cross-functional teams to define and/or improve content processes and systems.

What will you do?

  • Manage, mentor, and guide a team of copywriters, providing feedback, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Develop and implement creative content strategies, ensuring all copy is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with marketing objectives.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
  • Work closely with marketing, design, and other teams to ensure a cohesive brand message across all channels.
  • Maintain and evolve the brand voice and messaging guidelines, ensuring consistency across
    all content.
  • Monitor the performance of copy, identify areas for improvement, and optimize content for
    better results.
  • Responsible for strategic direction and editorial decisions for marketing produced internal & external newsletters
  • Interprets writing requests and customers' needs into concrete content for an advertising product; provides support in editorial and copywriting procedures.
  • Reviews, proofreads, and edits the content of marketing deliverables to ensure accurate and relevant information is delivered on time.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 1-3 years supervisory experience
  • 10+ years as a copy writer or content specialist
  • Bachelor or master's degree in marketing, Journalism or relevant field
  • Hold or willing to hold the following licenses: series 7, 9 and 10
  • Proven experience in developing copy for various platforms, including websites, social media,
    email campaigns and advertising.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in Adobe Workfront
  • Familiarity with the financial industry and or the ultra-high net worth space
  • Experience writing for social media, email marketing and other digital platforms

The expected salary range for this particular position is $89,000-$125,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
