We are seeking a skilled and motivated Global Support and Services Technician to join our Global Service & Support (GSS) department. In this role, you will act as the company's front-line representative to our customers, ensuring the successful delivery of commissioning, service, and support activities. The position involves approximately 30% international and domestic travel, supporting customers across different regions.

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting service and commissioning work, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. This position requires excellent technical abilities, strong customer service skills, and the flexibility to work in diverse environments and cultures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the company's representative while working directly at customer sites, consistently upholding a professional image and fostering positive customer relationships.

  • Plan, prepare, and execute commissioning and service jobs for our customers, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment as required, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.

  • Collaborate with customers to provide technical guidance, training, and operational support when necessary.

  • Take responsibility for environmental aspects related to your area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

  • Review, maintain, and update procedures related to commissioning and service within the GSS department as required.

  • Accurately document service activities, findings, and recommendations, and submit timely reports to management and customers.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Execute tasks and projects as assigned by the Customer Support Manager, ensuring alignment with departmental and company objectives.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, systems, and best practices to provide expert service support.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.

  • 3-5 years proven experience in field service, commissioning, or equipment maintenance roles.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interaction.

  • Proficiency in using service-related software and reporting tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
