Job Overview

The BI Developer II plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role collaborates closely with BI leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure data integrity, operational efficiency, and actionable insight delivery. With a strong foundation in analytics, data processing, and stakeholder engagement, this role bridges the gap between technical data capabilities and business objectives.


The Developer helps define and adheres to governance practices, supports system and data integrity, and drives continuous improvement in the delivery of analytical solutions. This role requires a strong mix of business acumen, technical expertise, and communication skills to help advance BI initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops, builds, designs, and deploys business solutions, while maintaining advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using tools available in the landscape including and not limited to Tableau, PowerBI, Webi, Analysis for Office, Alteryx, Snowflake, SAP Hana, SQL Management Studio
  • Develops and executes database queries and performs and documents data analysis, data validation, data mapping, design, produce data samples, prototypes and produce ad-hoc reports. Obtain and analyze data by accessing multiple sources and data warehouses. Demonstratestrong SQL skills to enable agile data analysis and data preparation for front end BI implementation
  • Maintains business intelligence models to design, develop and generate both standard, ad-hoc reports, and automated reports
  • Looks for ways to streamline report generation and provide business leaders with resources to enable informed decision making, including self-servicetools that enable users to analyze data through many business dimensions with visibility to granular and historical data
  • Identifies and resolves data reporting issues in a timely fashion, while looking for continuous improvement opportunities. Troubleshoots and performs root cause analysis on systems issues, across platforms and systems to ensure quick service restoration of problems
  • Coordinates with Business Analysts and customers to develop and define business requirements and specifications documents for defined problems; coordinates business plan for achieving desired outcomes, while having an understanding of department objectives
  • Partners with the BI Lead in developing and executing project plans within the assigned schedule and timeline

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (4 years)
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry knowledge in consumer goods, retail, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Familiarity with data governance, data stewardship, and data quality framework
  • High-level understanding of ETL work and API integration

Work Environment

  • Office-based environment (4 days a week), with flexibility for hybrid collaboration across teams
