The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $73,600-$99,400 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Overview: The Sr. Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring the optimal balance between supply and demand, inventory levels, and production capabilities. This role involves developing supply plans based on forecasts, inventory targets, and production schedules while collaborating closely with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to ensure timely product availability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Production Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain supply plans that align with demand forecasts and inventory goals.
- Collaborate with demand planners, procurement, and manufacturing teams to manage product availability.
- Monitor progress of production and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes in priorities.
- Identify supply constraints and develop contingency plans to mitigate risk
- Support new product launches and phase-outs with appropriate supply planning
- Assist in the design and implementation of supply chain optimization strategies
Inventory Management:
- Ensure that materials and components are available for production on time by working with inventory management teams.
- Monitor raw material inventory levels and forecast future needs to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Review and adjust safety stock levels based on historical trends and lead times
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to manage planning activities and generate reports
- Develop reports and dashboards for management decision-making and backorder risk management.
- Provide regular updates on supply chain metrics, including service levels, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement in scheduling efficiency.
- Provide regular reports on production schedules, timelines, and performance metrics to management.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Participate in Sales, Inventory, Operations & Planning (SIOP) meetings and contribute to cross-functional decision-making.
- Act as a liaison between departments, including manufacturing, sales, and logistics, to ensure alignment on production schedules.
- Communicate any changes or updates in the production schedule to all relevant teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in production scheduling or supply chain management
- Certifications (Preferred)
- APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, Oracle, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Strong Communication Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving Abilities:
- Capable of handling unexpected challenges and finding effective solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Attention to Detail:
- Highly organized with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines.
- Time Management:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Office-based role with occasional visits to warehouses or production sites.
- May require occasional overtime during peak periods or tight deadlines.
