Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and accomplished Principal IT Program Manager who will lead and manage multiple programs across IT. You should be a strategic leader with a proven track record in delivering complex projects within defined timelines, budgets, and scope. You are adept in managing stakeholder expectations, fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration, and driven by a passion for innovative problem-solving.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office or San Ramon Valley Conference Center in-person two days a week, on average or based on business needs.

PG&E is providing the salary range that canreasonablybe expected for this position at the time of thejob posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, and geographic location.The decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors. This job is also eligible to participate inPG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Pay Range display:

Bay Area -$140,000 to $207,900 annually

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate various IT projectsto ensure they align with business goals and technology strategic objectives. This includes managing project interdependence and ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategic plansfor IT programs, including setting project goals, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage program and project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and projects are completed within the allocated budget.
  • Identify potential risksto the success of projects and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to address these risks proactively.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members from different departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Regularly update stakeholderson project progress, changes, and any issues that arise, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Track project milestonesand assess the performance of projects to ensure they meet the set objectives and deliver the expected outcomes.
  • Ensure project teams have the necessary resources, including personnel, technology, and tools, for timely and efficient execution of their tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, communication plans, risk logs, and status reports, to ensure all project information is accurately recorded and accessible.
  • Ensure robust project governance to ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovationin the delivery of IT programs by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of experience in technology programs and project management

Desired:

  • Experience in PPM Tool such as Planisware
  • PMP from PMI
  • SAFe Agilist
  • SAFe Lean Portfolio Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in leading large scale complex programs to successful completion
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and drive clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Enthusiastic and driven self-starter who consistently strives to achieve outstanding results.
