Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a Part Time Production Shift Lead - Night Shift Sat./Sun. (7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) to be based out of Pueblo. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Weekend Production Shift Lead will be responsible for coordinating production work that includes priming material for assembly, assembling and disassembling parts, inspecting product to ensure quality as well as operation, tending, and cleaning the production area. What you'll do: The Weekend Production Shift Lead's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing activities related to fiberglass winding, bending and Swedging
- Ensure compliance with production schedules and minimize downtime
- Coordinate production flow and ensure production targets and schedules are met
- Enforce adherence to quality standards and process specifications for fiberglass products
- Ensure raw materials (fiberglass, resins, hardeners) are available and properly stored
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to inspect finished parts and address defects or inconsistencies
- Support equipment setups and ensure proper curing times and fiber orientation during winding
- Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance for repairs
- Monitor team performance and promote a culture of safety and efficiency
- Label, clean, pack or strap and wrap finished goods as needed
- Perform Daily 5S in production work area to prevent safety hazards
- Report daily output, quality issues, and workforce updates to Plant Manager
- Operate forklift safely and effectively
- Enforce PPE usage and safety protocols specific to fiberglass handling and chemical exposure
- Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to Atkore's established safety rules and procedures
- Be flexible and willing to adapt to change, be comfortable working in the constant changing environment
- Maintain the Lean Daily Management board with daily production and safety goals
- Assist in meeting performance to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Innovation goals

What you'll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of five years production coordinating experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is preferred
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and effective control standards
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Ability to interpret and execute standard works
- Ability to read, sort, check, county and verify numbers / perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment is a must
- Ability to familiarize and follow the 5S company program
- Ability to work independently and in a team when necessary
- Ability to take initiative action without direction
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance
- Good attendance and punctuality
Within 3 months, you'll:
- Know Understand your team and your role within the team and how it will help delivery Atkore's strategy
- Understand departmental standard work and Atkore's policies and procedures
- Understand department metrics
- Load and unload parts onto machine
- Cut/scrape waste material from product
- Install/Uninstall tooling from product
- Process and pack finished goods to next process
- Certification for Full Face respirator
Within 6 months, you'll:
- Ensure parts conform to specifications, by identifying nonconforming parts and pulling off the line
- Work efficiently as a team within the department to meet the daily target goal
- To detect problems and report information as necessary

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $32.14 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
