The Continuing Education Registration Center provides comprehensive enrollment services for more than 800 programs and 19,000 registrants annually. Located within the Division of Continuing Studies, we provide registration services for a variety of continuing education programs on campus, including Engineering, Department of Continuing Studies, iSchool, and UW Extension. The person in
this role will work directly with program directors, learners, and staff to ensure courses and registrations are set up accurately. Daily you will process multiple types of registrations including online, mail, and phone. A successful person in this role will be comfortable working withregistration software and creating financial and registration reports. Additionally, a successful person in this role will need outstanding customer service skills and excellent oral and written communications.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Creates and maintains course registration sites in the registration software system, recognizing each program has unique needs and set up requirements
  • Processes payments for registrations and tracks financial transactions in the registration software system
  • Provides direction to students and prospective students on a variety of processes including application, registration, financial status, academic and recreational programs, and graduation and licensure requirements
  • Tracks prospective and/or current student status on academic progress or related areas
  • Applies knowledge of programs, procedures, and policies to provide administrative support and assistance in a student services function, escalating more complex decisions to other personnel

Compensation:

$18.36 Hourly MINIMUM

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Experience working on a team
  • Experience in data & financial transaction entry/reconciliation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a call center environment - or other high volume customer service role
  • Strong organizational skills, time management techniques, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications
  • Experience working with registration software, including SalesForce

Education:

H.S. Diploma Preferred
