Sr. DevOps Engineer

BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and work closely with development teams and customers in the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and containerized architectures to support mission-critical applications. • Develop CI/CD build and deployment pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Write and modify Jenkins-based Groovy scripts for automation.
• Create and update Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning.
• Develop and maintain scripts for process improvements, such as automating build staging, branch tagging, and variance corrections across networks.
• Integrate tools into the pipeline to enhance DevOps workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to onboard new microservices into the pipeline.
• Automate installations of COTS and GOTS container builds into the architecture.
• Debug integration issues and identify deployment challenges.
• Monitor services and develop scripts to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Integrate various tools into the DevOps process, including SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins, Robot Framework/Selenium, and Artifactory.

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Poly (or ability to obtain).
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash and Python.
  • Experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or similar container environments.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes or OpenShift Container Platform.
  • Willingness to work in a DevSecOps-oriented environment with an Infrastructure-as-Code mindset.
• Certifications:
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, etc.).

• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming languages, such as Java.
• Experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting software solutions.
• Experience integrating Jenkins and Docker for automated CI/CD pipelines.
