Job Summary South Mountain Community College is hiring two Student Services Analysts. This position participates in student recruitment and outreach and performs as a brand ambassador to grow the admissions pipeline and college enrollment. This position serves as a one-stop for prospective students and their families in the admissions process to provide a high-level of customer service and support to guide students through the steps that lead to successful enrollment at the college. The Student Services Analysts will forge partnerships in the community, nurture existing relationships, and represent the college at local and national events, high school visits, and fairs that aid in brand awareness and the growth of the college. This position will host campus events and tours for prospective students, families, and community partners. The Student Services Analysts will regularly engage prospective students and partners through phone calls, text messages, emails, social media, newsletters, and in-person and virtual meetings and workshops. This position will use Customer Relations Management Software, Student Information Systems, and other technologies to document work activities, enroll students, organize daily priorities, input student inquiries, enroll students, and track progress against goals. This person will participate in division, college, and district-wide events and initiatives, including graduation, orientations, councils, and other duties as assigned. Essential Functions 40% Guide students through the milestones that lead to a successful first term. A. As a primary advocate for students from prospect through enrollment, this position will provide hands-on assistance with helping students overcome objections and achieve key admissions milestones before their first semester, including application submission, first-semester enrollment, securing educational funding, placement testing, transcript submission, and establishing residency. 30% Create and Manage Recruitment Communications and the CRM activities. A. Develop and execute email, call, and text communication content, plans, and drip campaigns for admissions pipelines and other recruitment/retention initiatives, reflecting advanced judgment and program development responsibilities. B. Maintain accessibility for students through various communication channels, including calls, texts, emails, walk-ins, appointments, and virtual meetings. The team is expected to be responsive and proactive in meeting students where they are, ensuring timely and effective support across all platforms. C. Assess the effectiveness of email and text campaigns through independent evaluation and analysis of performance data, using findings to redirect strategies as needed. 20% Manage relationships and recruitment efforts. A. As a community liaison and program advocate this position will nurture existing relationships with community partners and local K-12 schools while seeking opportunities for new partnerships to increase new student enrollment. B. Develop and represent the program as an advocate and recruiter by developing effective, engaging recruitment materials and presentations, attending and hosting events and tours, and delivering tailored presentations to prospective students and community partners. C. Staff should anticipate off-campus work for many recruitment events, especially during peak recruitment season. On average, approximately 20% of work will occur off-campus annually. 10 % Continuous assessment and improvement. A. Track recruitment and enrollment goals, assess progress through ongoing data evaluation, and recommend redirection of efforts as needed demonstrating independent analysis and contributing to continuous program improvement. B. Demonstrate analytical and program management skills by evaluating the return on investment (ROI) and overall effectiveness of recruitment events, using data to inform decisions about future participation and resource allocation. C. Analyze pipeline data and enrollment projections to identify course scheduling needs including modalities, days, and times, providing informed recommendations to student and academic affairs leadership demonstrating the ability to influence program operations through data-driven insights. D. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs. Or Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and four (4) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs. Or High School Diploma/GED from a regionally accredited institution and six (6) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs. Desired Qualifications A. Masters' Degree B. Experience using Software or technology (such as POS, customer relations management, or student information systems, Microsoft, Google) to perform work duties. C. Strong communication skills demonstrated through giving presentations or tours and developing outreach or recruitment materials. D. Experience in sales, recruitment, outreach, or related fields, with a proven ability to engage and build relationships E. Direct experience in customer service, student support, or related fields, with demonstrated empathy, problem-solving abilities, and relationship-building skills F. Experience analyzing information or data to evaluate outcomes and guide improvements in programs, services, or outreach efforts. Special Working Conditions
