Job Title: Prefabrication Manager Role Summary: Oversee and coordinate prefabrication shop operations, ensuring efficient production, safety, quality, and alignment with field construction projects. Manage staff, subcontractors, and vendors while promoting continuous improvement and a lean manufacturing culture. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate work between craft, subcontractors, vendors, and field project teams. Ensure adherence to safety programs, including training, audits, and incident investigations. Manage staff performance, training, recruitment, and mentorship. Plan and schedule prefabrication projects, including manpower, materials, and timelines. Monitor quality, documentation, and compliance with specifications and codes. Inspect work in progress and resolve prefabrication issues with engineering or field teams. Maintain shop and yard facilities, including equipment upkeep and safety. Promote lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Implement standard processes, visual controls, and KPI tracking for productivity and quality. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional workshops. Collaborate with engineering, planning, and operations to optimize workflows. Support diversity and inclusion initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with company policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field plus 7 years of relevant construction or manufacturing experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and current safety standards. Experience in fabrication, industrial construction, manufacturing, or operations management. Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience. Heavy industrial experience preferred. Ability to read and interpret project specifications, manuals, safety rules, and operating procedures. Effective communication skills to address teams, clients, and stakeholders. Proven skills in training, mentoring, performance management, and team development. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and process optimization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle Primavera P6 and accounting software preferred. Must meet company driving requirements.
