About the Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation solutions. You will collaborate closely with government supervisors, product owners, and developers in an Agile environment, enabling the rapid and reliable delivery of critical software products. This is a high-impact role directly contributing to Redhorse's mission of providing innovative technology solutions for our government clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI to automate build, test, and deployment processes, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Implement containerization solutions using Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS to streamline application deployment, scaling, and management.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog to monitor system performance, detect issues, and troubleshoot problems proactively.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews), collaborating with Agile teams to prioritize DevOps tasks, estimate effort, and provide regular updates on progress.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering roles.
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Proven experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Amazon ECS).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
Desired Experience
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance standards within DevOps processes and infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience mentoring junior DevOps engineers.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Experience with implementing Infrastructure as Code best practices (version control, testing, code reviews).
