We are excited to announce an opportunity within our Facilities Management operations team for a Custodial Manager in the Academic Zone. This pivotal role supports Facilities Management's goal of providing consistent, cost-effective, and reliable maintenance and custodial service for over 400 buildings across Grounds. The typical shift for this position is M-F, 12pm - 8:30pm; some coverage may be required outside of typical work schedule as this position leads teams who support evening shift operations. As the Custodial Manager, you will play a vital role in elevating the custodial program through collaboration and a commitment to service excellence, addressing the unique needs of research facilities, the medical and nursing schools, classrooms buildings, and office spaces. Your leadership will make a significant impact on the daily living experience of thousands of students, staff, and facility, ensuring their workspaces are clean, safe, and welcoming. You will oversee a dynamic team of custodial supervisors and staff, helping to maintain and enhance their work environment across multiple shifts. Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic, and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair, and maintenance of UVA's buildings, infrastructure, and grounds, as well as other University-owned and leased properties. Anticipated Compensation: $70,000 - $76,000 annually; additional compensation may be considered for a successful candidate who meets or exceeds preferred qualifications and experience. Physical Demands: This position is primarily an office position. Incumbent will periodically go to buildings to inspect the work being performed. This is an exempt-level, benefited position.
